We are thrilled to host the MDAA Spring Workshop and Scholarship Audition April 10-12 in Missoula, at the University of Montana and Ballet Arts Academy!

We have a fantastic line-up of guest instructors ready to challenge and inspire us. We encourage everyone to expand their dance horizons by attending the extra classes: Musical Theater, Swing, GYROKINESIS®, and more.  And Friday night we bring you two pre-workshop happenings: contemporary repertory with Kate Jordan Augusto, and a Q&A for dancers, teachers and parents who are interested in learning more about the college dance experience at the University of Montana.  New Visions Dance is a program at the U of M that celebrates inclusive dance education. In this session, we will discuss strategies and practice leading dance experiences for individuals with varying physical, cognitive, and developmental abilities. New Visions Dance merges university students with community members to inspire play and the joy of moving in concert with others. This class is open to all levels as well as instructors and directors!

Scroll down to the downloadable PDFs and you will find information about courtesy blocks with discounted room rates for MDAA families at Holiday Inn Parkside, Hilton Garden Inn and C’mon Inn.  Our workshop sponsors include the University of Montana Dance Club and Clark Fork Realty. We appreciate their support of the arts in Montana!  And don't forget about your dancewear and pointe shoe fitting needs - Spokane Dance Shop will be setting up at Ballet Arts Academy.

Saturday evening, Arts Missoula presents Dancing with the Arts Missoula Stars at the Wilma Theater. MDAA dancers and parents are offered 50% off tickets to the event. Please email Heather Adams at heather@artsmissoula.org to reserve tickets.

Lastly, all Professional Members and instructors and encouraged to attend the MDAA Professional Membership Meeting on Saturday starting at 12:00pm. We will chat, have a meeting, and discuss the future of this wonderful organization.  The MDAA Board wants to hear your ideas!  If you'd like for us to order your lunch for you, please fill out the order form that can be found just below.

We look forward to seeing you in Missoula for a fabulous weekend of dance!  Sincerely,
