Summer Program Scholarship Auditions happen only at the Spring Workshop
Students who plan to audition, and their parents/guardians, should read the SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION RULES before deciding to audition.

Step 2
Examine the Forms and Audition Offerings to Decide if you want to Audition.
Tap Scholarships 2026 - only cash scholarships are available this year
1 at $1000, 1 at $750, 2 at $500, 2 at $250
Specialty Scholarships 2026 - no listing, you tell us where you've been accepted.
*If listed as draft, we have one or more scholarships we're awaiting confirmation.
Step 3
Complete all Necessary Online Forms and Submit by the Deadline
The online form submission deadline is March 31, 2026.
As described in the instructions, you will bring your audition photo with you to the Spring Workshop or mail it in. (We recommend bringing it!)

Please arrive early so you have time to use the restroom, put your number on, and do anything else you need to do before entering the audition. Once you enter, if you leave the room, you will not be able to return to the audition!

What to do if you received a scholarship -
Congratulations!
Whether you are accepting or refusing the award, you must send the "Letter to the Program" to the program that offered the scholarship.
AND
If you are accepting the award, you must send the "Letter of Acceptance" to MDAA.
If you are refusing the award, you must send the "Letter of Refusal" to MDAA.
After attending your program, you must complete and return the "Evaluation Essay Form."
These Acceptance or Refusal Forms are due April 27, 2026
